So, we're packing the last stuff. Looks like everything fell into place. My car sold in the last moment. We're gotten rid of loads of stuff. The house is empty. We're leaving in the morning, ending up in Toulouse a day later. Next posting will be from there, most likely.

Some of our neighbors had made a great party for us last night, and many good friends came by.

Thanks for the many good wishes, all of you. Nice words from Max.

And yes, it isn't such a big deal any longer to say goodbye to go to another continent. This is a small planet. We're more and more connected. And I'll be by L.A. once in a while.

I have a garden club friend that is moving to Italy, I think she said near Tuscany. But is pretty interesting that 2 friends are moving to basicly the same place on the same day.

leave the past behind and keep only the good memories with you. when one feels itt's time to go, then it probably is a good time to go. Will you be staying in toulouse from now on? It's a pitty you couldn't make it to metz for this year's libre software meeting. I just came back today. Next year though, i expect to see you at Bordeaux:-) Till then, enjoy france, it's beautiful.

Well Flemming I figure this would probably be the best and easiest way to get a hold of you and the family. The trip home took forever from the airport, but to our suprise when we got back to your house, your neighbors across the street were taking out the redish entertainment center. Jennifer stopped them seeing that Eric is was supposed to take it. Anyway, turns out people were going in and out of the house all day taking things. And sadly, they went through my stuff and took a few things. No big deal, the only thing I want to make sure of, is what was in the box you left Erica. Someone dumped everything out that was in that box, and everything was laying on the floor. So let me recap what I found, the set of keys to the house, books, the modem, and tapes. If there was anything else, someone must have took it. Sorry to inform you of this news, but you were bound to hear it sometime. Anyway, I hope you guys are loving it out there, I hope the plane trip was great, I love you all and will miss you. -Love, Danny P.S: Seeing as this really isnt a comment, delete it if after you read it (if you want).

a little mouse tell me that everyone arrived safely but they are a bit tired. I'm sure a log is coming on the subject soon.

Hey, it is nice with people around who watch out for you. We're safe and sound in Toulouse, and, yes, a little sleepy.

Danny, thanks for going with us to the airport, and for watching out over the house. Thanks for your help! Sounds like the contents of that box was intact. But a shame if the vultures got any of your guys' stuff.

Our family spent most of the Summer in 1996 near Marmande; not a million miles from Toulouse, and I left a big piece of my heart there. There is something very special about the South West of France.

I'm sure you will have a great life there.

The tragedy in Pakistan continues to worsen as relief supplies and aid fall far short of what is required. More aid is anxiously needed as the potential for millions of fatalities begins to loom.
